Therapy for Health offers a transparent and supportive referral process for both individual clients and professional partners.
Referral process
Therapy for Health welcomes direct self-referrals. You do not need a referral letter from a GP and appointments can be made directly via email or telephone.
Referrals are also welcomed from GPs, Psychiatrists, insurance companies such as BUPA and AVIVA and other health professionals.
Please note that it may not always be possible to return your call or e-mail immediately due to being in a therapy session or if you call outside of the working hours (evenings and weekends). Please be assured that your query will be responded to at the earliest possible opportunity.
Generally, once an e-mail is received, you will receive a reply and a time will be suggested to arrange an initial telephone consultation to find out a little bit more about what you are looking for. There is no charge for this telephone consultation. If it is agreed on the telephone that you would like to go ahead and book an assessment session, this will then be organised. Please check your spam e-mail if you have not received a response within two days.
Fees
- One-hour individual initial assessment session £120
- One-hour individual therapy session £120
- Couples therapy session £150
Payment
Payment is by bank transfer preferably. Payment is required ahead of the session taking place unless otherwise agreed.
Cancellations
If you miss or cancel an appointment that has been agreed, the fee will normally be payable. A minimum of 24 hours notice for the cancellation of a session is required. Unfortunately, sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to the full session cost unless otherwise agreed. If therapy is being funded by your insurance company, cancellations are not paid for by your insurance company and are therefore charged in the same way as those self-funding therapy.
Insurance Company Fees
Fees vary according to your insurance provider. Please be aware that if you have an excess on your policy, this will not be paid for by the insurance company and the invoice for the excess will need to be paid for by you personally directly to Therapy for Health.
